United Tool & Die Co., Inc. (UTD) began in 1947 as a traditional tool & die and metal stamping machine shop in Cambridge, MA. Growth, opportunity, and expansion of technology prompted UTD to move to a larger facility in 1971, which brought it to its current location - a 15,000 square foot facility located in Wilmington, MA. It was here that UTD began a new life servicing the Rt. 128 technology boom.

What started as a small shop quickly grew into a company that made significant investments in CNC machining, wire EDM, small hole popping and sheet metal fabrication. UTD also invested heavily in the education and training of all its employees, resulting in superior core competencies in machining, fabrication, die design, stampings, precision manufacturing and customer satisfaction. We realize the success of our business rests solely on our employees and their ability to provide personal, dependable, and efficient service to ensure your project is delivered on-time and within budget.

Today, UTD is a family owned and operated business that services a diverse range of markets from medical, automotive, and aerospace to industrial products. We are committed to working diligently with OEM's to ensure every piece produced meets stringent quality standards. We maintain tight controls on all our work with each phase of production undergoing inspection. Using advanced measuring equipment, raw materials are evaluated upon arrival; in-process jobs receive first article approval; and all parts must pass final inspection. We maintain detailed inspection records, material certifications and certificates of conformance to guarantee your parts meet quality standards.
